ABOUT THE ARTIST

Wanda Hayes Eichler works out of studios in Michigan and in Arizona. Working principally in oil and watercolor, she also ventures into acrylics from time to time.

Raised in Wisconsin, Eichler has spent her career years in Michigan's Thumb area where she owned and managed a quilt shop in Pigeon, Michigan for almost ten years. She is the author of five quilt design books and scores of patterns for quilting projects that are published by Graywood Designs.

In 2011, she began spending winter months in Tucson, Arizona where she enrolled at the Art Institute of the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum. Eichler holds a certificate in nature illustration from that institution and continues to see birds, animals, and landscapes as her main subjects.
